Climate Change: A Disaster

Climate change may be felt anywhere on the earth. We may get a lot of information from the most recent advances and studies that warn that climate change is a serious problem, yet we are only making little efforts that will have no effect. The regrettable fact is that we, and no one else, are forging our own path to disaster.

Let us talk about the recent signs that our mother nature is trying to give us. Have you seen the amount of rain that is falling in the country? The latest study shows that due to climate change, rain pours down more quickly and for continuous hours. This has led to the destruction of roads, killing animals, and most importantly, it has affected the mountains.

Apart from that, scarcity of water can be seen all over the country. With Chennai already declared a drought city. The next in line seems to be Delhi. And the amount of water we waste clearly shows that. Sometimes, it feels like we are in an ego fight with mother nature. If we keep wasting water the way we like to do, sooner or later will be out of the water as well.

If we talk specifically about India, we do not have any major plans to eradicate these problems with core solutions. We are in a race to join the Americans and the Europeans, but at what cost? If we want to live in this world for some more years, we have to do something concrete.

We watched our nation slipping behind in the midst of the epidemic. The unfortunate side is that if climate change has an impact on us, we will lag behind because we lack the necessary resources and preparation. I hope that future administrations will take steps to educate and warn citizens.
